12/7/2007 Gis 111
Well were down to our final two classes. We have lot's of work to do in one week. A one page essay on chapter 14 and our entire final project to finish. I did get a reasonable start during class today but I'm afraid that I am going to need help on querying data for this project. I still am not comfortable with this and hope that Pete will give me some help. I have included a map of work I have done on the final class project today.

November 9th GIS Day
I thought today was very interesting and had a lot of very good presentations. I also ran up with Burt Hatchel with Madison County GIS. I hadn't seen him in a while and we kind of caught up on things. I'm a little worried that I'm getting behind on learning the software sense we have concentrated the last two classes on GIS day and my wife and I are going on our annual anniversary weekend on the 16th. I was going to come in on the morning of the 16th to take the test before we left but Pete put it off till the next class. Guess I'll see everybody test day.

I liked this class. It's something that I have had some experience in. Pete wanted our class to do a booth at GIS day at AB Tech and for the class we were trained on using the devices. I guess that GPS is one thing that has gotten me interested in GIS to start with. I have included some maps of Mars Hill with water and sewer lines and a map of some preliminary shot's from our GPS unit at our Waste water Treatment Plant of Manholes, Valves, and pump stations. I know it needs some modification but it's a start.
